Get something printed
Want something printed, not a printer? Tell us what needs printing and where. We'll pass your request to a trained operator near you who runs one of our printers, and they quote it, print it and look after you from there. More on landlord permission for printed walls.
You don't need to own one to get something printed with one.
How it works
We do most of the legwork.
01
Where it is, roughly how big, what it's made of and what you want on it. A photo helps more than anything.
02
Someone on the team in Wilmington, NC reads every request and passes it to a trained operator who covers your area.
03
You work with them directly on the design, the price and the date. The UV ink cures as it prints, so the space is ready when they pack up.
Surfaces
Walls, floors, glass, metal, wood, concrete, brick, tile, acrylic and canvas. Floors print on a machine built for floors, and signs and panels can be printed in the operator's shop and installed on site. Not sure about your surface? Send a photo with your request.
Also printed: restaurants, homes and kids' rooms, churches and nonprofits, wayfinding and signs.
The operator
A trained operator near you: someone who runs one of our printers, learned it from the team in Wilmington, and has lifetime support from the people who build the machines.
Every operator learned the machine, surface prep and how a job runs from the team in Wilmington, in person or virtually.
Operators are independent. They set their own prices and schedules, and you deal with them from the first call to the last pass.
Walls, floors, glass, metal, wood and panels, with UV ink that cures as it prints. Floors go on the Floor Series.
The printers are supported by The Wall Printer®, Wilmington, NC.
Questions
What does it cost to get something printed?
Each operator sets their own price. Size, surface, design work and how hard the surface is to reach all move the number. Your operator quotes it after seeing a photo or the surface itself.
Is there an operator near me?
Operators work across the Americas. If nobody covers your area yet, we'll tell you straight away.
Can I use my own design?
Yes. Send a logo, a photo or a sketch with your request, and ask your operator about design help. Use artwork you have the rights to.
How long does it take?
It depends on size and detail. A 120 sq ft feature wall is six to twelve hours of print time. The printers run at 10 to 20 sq ft an hour. Your operator gives you a schedule with the quote, and the ink cures as it prints, so there's no drying time once it's done.
What does the operator need from me on the day?
Power at the surface, because the printers have no battery, and clear access to the area. Vertical prints go up to 11 feet high. The machine leaves a margin at the edges (roughly 9 inches at one edge, 14 at another, 6 to 8 at the bottom), so edge-to-edge coverage takes planning. Ask how your job handles the edges.
Can it go outside?
Yes. Outdoors, ask Jason whether a clear coat makes sense for your surface and exposure. Your operator will tell you what they recommend for your surface.
Is it rated for a commercial floor, a kitchen or a corridor?
If your project comes with a spec for fire rating, floor traffic or cleaning, say so in your request, or call or text 910.679.0962, and we'll help you plan it.
What if I want it gone later?
A printed wall paints over like any other wall. For floors and other surfaces, ask your operator.
